Privacy policy
Effective date:
This policy explains what information Ozelinx (“we”, “us”) processes when you use this website, why, for how long, and the choices and rights you have. The short version: we have no accounts and no sign-up, your settings stay in your own browser, and advertising cookies are only used if you agree.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through this website is Ozelinx (Pakistan). You can reach us at hello@ozelinx.io for any privacy question or request.
2. Information we process
- No accounts. We do not offer registration, so we hold no names, passwords, payment details or trading-account information. We will never ask for exchange API keys, passwords or wallet recovery phrases.
- Technical request data. When your browser loads a page, the web server or hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type, the requested address, the referring page and the time. This is needed to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. If you run Ozelinx on your own computer, these requests never leave your machine.
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your address and message and use them only to answer you. We keep correspondence for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Information stored on your device. Settings, watchlists, alerts and a short-lived data cache are saved in your browser (see section 3). We never receive this data.
- No analytics. We do not run analytics or tracking scripts.
3. Local storage and session storage
Instead of cookies, our own pages use your browser's local storage and session storage. The complete list:
| Key | Where | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
consent.v1 | localStorage | Remembers your cookie choice (“granted” or “denied”) so the banner is not shown on every page. | Until you change it or clear site data |
theme | localStorage | Light or dark theme, if you picked one with the theme button (otherwise your device setting is followed). | Until cleared |
watch.coins, watch.assets | localStorage | Your watchlists of coins and other markets. | Until cleared |
ozx.tz | localStorage | The time zone you picked for all times on the site (Auto, UTC, the exchange’s zone or a city/offset). Not stored when left on Auto. | Until you change it or clear site data |
ozx.cur | localStorage | The display currency you picked for crypto prices (USD, PKR, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, INR, BTC or ETH). | Until you change it or clear site data |
ozx.cols.cg | localStorage | Which columns you chose to show in the top-coins table. | Until you change it or clear site data |
ozx.hl.xyz | sessionStorage | List of markets on Hyperliquid’s free order-book feed, so it is not re-downloaded on every page. | When you close the tab |
ozx.hm.style | localStorage | Whether the liquidity heatmap draws a thin price line or candles, if you changed it. | Until you change it or clear site data |
favs | localStorage | Starred pairs on the crypto markets table. | Until cleared |
chart.ind | localStorage | Indicators you switched on in the live chart. | Until cleared |
chart.draw.<symbol> | localStorage | Lines and drawings you added to a chart, per symbol. | Until cleared |
ozx.portfolio.v1 | localStorage | Your portfolio transactions (coin, buy/sell, quantity, price, fee, date, note). Never sent anywhere; export it to keep a backup. | Until you delete it or clear site data |
ozx.wl.v1 | localStorage | Your extra named watchlists (the coins and markets in each). | Until you delete them or clear site data |
ozx.alerts.v1, ozx.alerts.log, ozx.alerts.lock | localStorage | Your alerts (coin, condition, level), the last 100 that triggered, and which open tab is doing the checking. | Until you delete them or clear site data |
alerts | localStorage | Price alerts you created in the tools page (checked only while the page is open). | Until cleared |
cj:<url> | localStorage | Short-lived copies of public market-data responses, to avoid re-downloading the same data and hitting free API limits. | 1 minute to 1 hour, depending on the data |
ozx-breaking-dismissed | sessionStorage | Breaking-news headlines you dismissed, so they do not reappear. | When you close the tab |
You can delete all of it at any time on the cookie settings page or through your browser's “clear site data” option.
4. Cookies and advertising
Our own pages do not set cookies. Cookies may be set by third parties in two cases:
- Google AdSense (when enabled). Ads are loaded only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you accept, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites and to measure ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. If you reject, no AdSense code is loaded. At the time of writing no AdSense publisher ID is configured, so no ads load at all.
- Embedded widgets. Some pages show TradingView widgets in frames. TradingView may set its own cookies under its own policy.
Opt-out options:
- Manage personalised ads at Google Ads Settings.
- Read how Google uses information from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Opt out of some third-party vendors' personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, personalised ads are only shown with consent, and Google may require a certified consent-management platform. You can change your choice at any time on the cookie settings page.
5. Third-party data services
To show live prices, your browser connects directly to public market-data services. Each one receives your IP address and the request, and is responsible for its own processing:
| Service | Used for | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| CoinGecko | Coin prices, market caps, coin details and charts | link |
| Binance (data-api.binance.vision, api.binance.com, data-stream.binance.vision) | Crypto prices, candles, order books and live trades | link |
| OKX | Prices, candles, order books, funding, open interest and liquidations | link |
| Coinbase Exchange, Kraken, Bybit, KuCoin | Order books and prices used for cross-checks and liquidity | link |
| Hyperliquid | Perpetual-futures data, including tokenized commodities, FX and indices | link |
| Deribit | Options data (put/call ratio, max pain, DVOL) | link |
| CoinPaprika | Fallback coin data when CoinGecko is unavailable | link |
| Alternative.me | Crypto Fear & Greed index | link |
| gold-api.com, open.er-api.com | Spot metal prices and currency exchange rates | link |
| TradingView | Embedded chart, quote and company widgets | link |
| Google AdSense (only after you accept) | Advertising | link |
| News publishers and Google News | Only when you click a headline (we show headline, source and time only) | link |
Live news on your own computer. If you run the optional local news aggregator (news-server/ozx_news.py), your computer fetches public RSS feeds from the news publishers listed on the news page. Nothing is sent to us.
6. Legal bases (GDPR and UK GDPR)
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): delivering and securing the website (technical request data).
- Steps at your request / legitimate interests: replying to your emails.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing before withdrawal.
- Strictly necessary storage (ePrivacy rules): the consent choice and the settings you set yourself.
International transfers. Some of the services above are based outside your country (for example in the United States). Where the GDPR applies, such providers rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights. You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern email correspondence. We answer within one month.
7. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
- Categories collected: identifiers (IP address, email address if you write to us) and internet activity on this site.
- Sale and sharing: we do not sell personal information. If you accept advertising, personalised ads through Google may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out by choosing “Reject non-essential” or by turning on Global Privacy Control, which we honour automatically.
- Your rights: to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. Send requests to hello@ozelinx.io.
- Sensitive personal information: we do not collect any.
8. Security and retention
The site is static, so there is no database of visitors. Pages are served over HTTPS in production, and a strict Content-Security-Policy limits which outside services pages may contact. Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider's standard retention (typically 30 days or less). Email is kept for up to 24 months.
9. Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly process children's data. If you believe a child has contacted us, please tell us and we will delete the message.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the site or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have accounts or sell my data?
No. There are no accounts, and we do not sell personal information. Watchlists, alerts and settings stay in your own browser.
Does the site use cookies?
Our own pages do not set cookies; settings are kept in your browser's local storage. Google AdSense may set advertising cookies, but only after you click “Accept”. Embedded TradingView widgets may set their own cookies.
How do I change or withdraw consent?
Open the Cookie settings page (linked in the footer), where you can accept, reject or clear everything this site stored on your device.
Do you honour Global Privacy Control?
Yes. If your browser sends the GPC signal and you have not made a choice, we treat it as “reject non-essential” and do not load advertising.
