Major and minor currency pairs, including the Pakistani rupee and Indian rupee. Rates come from Yahoo Finance with open.er-api.com as a fallback; the forex market trades 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday, so rates move almost continuously during the week.

- USD/PKR rising means the rupee is weakening against the dollar.

Questions
What does USD/PKR mean?
It is the number of Pakistani rupees needed to buy one US dollar. A higher number means a weaker rupee.
Why does my bank show a different rate?
Banks and exchange companies add a spread to the interbank rate, and cash rates can differ from transfer rates.
How to use the forex page
- Use the search box and the group filter to narrow the list; click any row for its own page with a chart, the live quote line and the analysis tabs.
- Sort by any column header. The ★ button adds a market to your watchlist (stored only in this browser).
- The TradingView panel shows a live overview where TradingView licenses the exchange; our own tables use the free sources named under each table.
- Click the clock in the header (or under any chart) to pick a time zone: Auto, UTC, the exchange’s own zone, a fixed UTC offset or any city. Every time on the site switches at once and the choice is remembered in this browser.
Where the prices come from
- Major and cross pairs use Swissquote’s live bid/ask (read every 2 seconds) on each pair’s page; the list uses the latest snapshot from Yahoo Finance and open.er-api.com.
- Rupee pairs such as USD/PKR are not quoted by Swissquote, so they use Yahoo Finance’s delayed rate and are labelled that way.
- Interbank forex has no public order book; pair pages show a labelled proxy book (for example the EUR/USDT market) where one exists.
Reading the numbers
- Forex quotes are the price of one unit of the first currency in the second. EUR/USD 1.08 means one euro costs 1.08 dollars.
- Banks and exchange companies add a spread to these mid-market rates.
